Acerca de la Timocracia



[A]nd we begin to suspect that he doesn't exactly care about the freedom of the city, not really, but rather that the idea of a certain action, fighting-for-the-freedom-of-the-city, has an aesthetic carachter, a kind of moral glamour if you will, and he's got fixed on that, and become quite heedless of what actually is happening to the city. This is a person in whom spirit, the sense of honor, has usurped the role of reason.
